The Rabbit Hole
Open Water Diver certification
Start here
You don’t need to know how a regulator works.
You don’t need to own fins.
You don’t need to have wanted to scuba dive since childhood.
You just need to want to know what it feels like down there.
We start slowly, learn properly and do it together.
Then Bali takes care of the rest.
Suited up for the first time, Nusa Lembongan.

Start planning the next dive trip on the flight home.
Day by day
Two days to land in Canggu, three ocean days on Nusa Lembongan, then Ubud to come back up slowly.
Days 1–10
Chapter 1Canggu
Canggu
Land in Bali, check in and take a little time to settle. The first afternoon is deliberately easy.
Lunch near the hotel, a little wandering and then straight towards the coast for beach time and sunset. By evening, everyone has usually stopped checking the time.
Core Experiences
Canggu
The morning is yours. Choose yoga, head out for rafting and ATV, or just stay near the beach.
Later, we drive towards Tanah Lot for sunset, then return for dinner and a night out for whoever is still going.
Core Experiences
Optional
Chapter 2Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan
Breakfast, transfer to Sanur and take the fast boat across to Nusa Lembongan. Check in, rent scooters, settle into island pace.
The afternoon is for lunch, the beach and a long sunset session with live music and a bonfire.
Core Experiences
Chapter 2 · Days 4–6
Under the surface.
Three ocean days around Nusa Lembongan, and the reason this trip exists. First breaths, first proper dives and your Open Water Diver certification.
Not diving? The island is still yours: beaches, swims, a Devil’s Tear sunset and the mangroves.
Nusa LembonganOcean day
Today the ocean part begins. Meet the dive team, get to know the kit and take your first breaths underwater.
Not diving? The island is yours: beach time, swimming, spa, cafés or a slow afternoon around the coast. Dinner together later.
Core Experiences
Nusa LembonganOcean day
Another morning by the water, and the first proper dives around Nusa Lembongan.
By evening, we head to Devil’s Tear for sunset before dinner and an optional island night out.
Core Experiences
Optional
Nusa LembonganOcean day
One more morning in the water. After lunch, there is the option to explore the mangroves by kayak.
The evening stays easy. Dinner, a walk and one last island night.
Core Experiences
Chapter 3Ubud
Ubud
Boat back to Bali, then onwards to Ubud. Check in, take the afternoon slowly and meet again for drinks and dinner.
The evening can stay quiet or drift into live music and Ubud nightlife.
Core Experiences
Ubud
Today is for Ubud. Temples, neighbourhoods, cafés, art, rice fields and the version of Bali that moves a little slower.
The evening is yours. Dinner together, then optional live music.
Core Experiences
Optional
Ubud
Choose your own version of the day. Head into Sidemen, wake up before sunrise for Mt Batur, or stay in Ubud for wellness, cafés and absolutely no schedule.
By evening, we come back together for a traditional Balinese dance and dinner.
Core Experiences
Ubud
Breakfast, last-minute shopping, one more coffee and then airport transfers.
The usual photos, hugs and promises to meet somewhere else next. Possibly under water.
Core Experiences
This is the shape of the trip, not a military schedule. Timings may shift with weather, boats, dive conditions and the group. The exact dive schedule for each ocean day is set with the dive centre.
From a past trip
A Voyagio group in Bali, above and below the water. Sound on.
What you come back with
That moment when breathing underwater stops feeling impossible.
The sea stops being something you only look at from the shore.
A small group learning, getting things wrong and figuring it out together.
Questions
In fact, we’d prefer if this were your first time.
This trip is designed as a way into diving, not a trip for people who already have 200 dives logged.
You should be comfortable in water, reasonably healthy and curious enough to give it a go.
Everything else can be learned.
No.
Yes. Open Water Diver certification is ₹31,000 per person on top of the ₹46,000 trip price, so ₹77,000 in total.
No.
That’s normal. The ocean days are paced so beginners can get comfortable gradually, and nobody is rushed into the water.
Then Nusa Lembongan is still an island holiday. Beach time, swimming, cafés, spa, a Devil’s Tear sunset and an optional mangrove kayak, and the rest of the trip in Canggu and Ubud doesn’t change.
Yes. Most Voyagio travellers do.
